How To Order | Mum Braids

Everything you need to know...

Ordering can be intimidating for a first timer.... Follow these suggestions to create the perfect Homecoming Mum or Garter!

You can order just Braids and Kits too!!

HOW TO GET STARTED ...

1. Mums are worn around the neck with a ribbon and Garters are attached to the arm.

2. Choose your size (these are just recommendations)

Pee Wee Mum/Garter (siblings, grandparents, parents, little league teams, elementary age) about 7.4" long and 4.5" wide
Single Mum or Garter(Middle School, 9th - 10th grade) about 30" long and 10" wide
Double Mum (10th - 12th grade) about 32" long and 12" wide
Triple Mum (11th - 12th grade, College) about 40" long and 13" wide
Senior Mum 12th grade - these are typically white with gold/silver accents) about 40" long and 14" wide
Garter (Middle School, High School, College) about 24" long and 8" wide
Senior Garters (Larger mum flower and longer streamers) about 30" long and 10" wide
Wrist mums (if you want something small, or for siblings, parents, grandparents)
BackPack Mums (Made to attach to your backpack) Single flower 10" wide with shorter streamers and braids 20" long

3. Choose your colors. Traditionally they are white with gold or silver for Seniors (some seniors add a small bit of accent color), school colors with gold or silver for all other mums, however, they can really be any color you would like - you get to pick!

4. Give information like interests, hobbies, ideas you are excited about and they get incorporated into your mum - usually done by the designer. I have done everything from a religious football trinket, to astros gear, to instruments, to feathers, to flamingos, sports, etc...

5. Decide if you want your name, initials, dates name, etc... on the mum.

6. Decide if you want a boa and if there are any special braids you like - look at the portfolio for ideas, or under the braids tab to see what you like best. (Some are extra charge - cascading braid, etc...)

7. You can make your Mum/Garter EXTRAordinary by adding ADD-ON extras, like bears, lights, specialized braids, more bling, etc... Check the ADD-ON Tab when you place your order. I also have a FANCY & FABULOUS Mum ADD ON you can order this includes a extra ribbons, fancier braids, glitter cut outs, extra bows, bears, extra trinkets and over the top BLING (you customize what you like best).

I customize the Mum/Garter based on information you provide with school colors, and individual information you provide on the order form. Remember that I cannot duplicate Mums/Garters, so the pictures shown are examples of previous Mums. I would love to see your ideas and things that you like but I cannot duplicate another person's work.

What else you need to know...

Pick - Up Orders MUST be placed 1week before your homecoming date if the date is not full already. These dates sell out fast.... So it is best to order as soon as possible. The website will be updated as these dates sell out. We are limited with time to create your special Mum or Garter.

Pick up for Orders are in Spring near the Woodlands, Pick up information will be provided. Pick up at the latest will be the Wednesday before your HOCO date. If you need it for an Exchange party, let me know that date ASAP. I will do my best to have it ready for you before that date.

Shipping Orders MUST be placed 2 weeks before your homecoming date. Order are shipped UPS and the charge is usually $30-50 depending on the weight and size. That will be collected when the label is generated. Once again, your order MUST be placed 3 weeks in advance to get your order in time. Once the items is mailed with tracking information I am not responsible for its arrival and any unexpected delays with the UPS carrier.

RUSH ORDERS: Sometimes I can accommodate rush orders, contact me directly BEFORE you place your order so we can discuss. **There is a RUSH ORDER FEE starting at $25 - please remember, it is for time and supplies that might need to be rush delivered

All Orders are paid in full at the time of the order.

There are NO refunds once your order is placed. Please contact me with any issues or if you want to see pictures of your creation along the way.
